The importance of articles in today’s websites and internet based companies are immeasurable. They dictate a lot toward the success and the drive of traffic into one’s site. It has become a key element in making a site work and earn a profit. If you are a web owner or site operator then the articles you use, will need to work with your topic and you need to have a strong inclination, on which to use and where to use them.
Articles have been known to be the driving force in generating traffic to a website. Articles are a factor in giving site high rankings on search result pages. To get the best traffic, you will need to rank as high as you can, on the search engine listing. Because of the large amount of traffic flow, there is more opportunity to make money with other income generating methods too.
It is not just about stuffing your site with articles, they have certain requirements as well. These requirements must be met to obtain the maximum benefits that an article will provide for your site. A well written article will catch the eyes and interest of your customers and keep them coming back for more. By enticing them in this way, they will be more willing to recommend your site to others.
The following tips will help you as you develop the articles you use.
1. Keywords and Keyword Phrases.
An article must always be centered on the keywords and keyword phrases. As each website visitor goes to a site, there are those who merely browse and others that are actually looking for a specific topic. As they search the web they can type in a keyword into their favorite search engine for such things as; e.g.: Home and Garden, Family Activities; Weddings or anything else they are interested in.
The Important thing is that you have an article that has the keywords that are related to your site. For instance; if you have a site on snowboarding, then you will need to have articles on snowboards and snowboarding gear. You can purchase the tools you need on the internet that are created to help webmasters locate and find the most beneficial keywords and keywords phrases on any given topic. You can use this tool to determine what keywords to use and write about.
2. Keyword Density
After you determine which keywords and keyword phrases you will be using, you will need to make sure to maximize their usage. Having effective keyword density is essential in order for a search engine to be aware of it.
You will need to have around 10% - 15% of keyword density to get the attention of search engines, before they will begin to move you up in ranking. Good articles are the best way to move up in ranking.
Basically keyword density is just the number of times you use a keyword or keyword phrase in your article. The number varies depending on the number of words used in an article. An effective article must have a keyword density that is not too high or too low. If you use them too much you can loose article structure quality, and then you run the risk of appearing overeager, which is a turn off to readers or even to the search engines.
A low number may be ignored by the search engines.
3. Good Articles
Having good content is another reason why keyword ’overkill’ is a bad idea. You want your visitors to consider them good reading material. Articles must be able to entertain people as well as provide good information and help for their needs. Articles should be written well with correct spelling and good grammar. If you want people to trust you, make your work good and well thought out.
Often people who visit sites, enjoy looking at facts, statistics and figures. Try to get great information and as many facts as you can. A good and well written article will boost your reputation as an expert in your chosen field or topic. This will help people to feel confident that what they are reading is true and something they can rely on.
Another important thing to remember, if you are going to submit articles to ezines and/or contribute your articles to newsletters and other sites, DON’T ever forget to include a link to your site.
Have a little resource box with a brief description of your site and it should always be placed right after the articles that you have submitted. People who enjoyed your article, will most likely want to see more and will click on the link redirecting them back to your site.
